In our depravity and rebellion against Him, when we were dead to anything good and had no interest in seeking Him, God demonstrated His love toward us. Have you responded to His offer?
The message of the cross may not be popular in the world, but that is the only solution to the problem of sin against God. Christ fully paid the price, and it was accepted by God. Outside of Christ, there is other way to God.
Everyone in the world, both great and small, rich and poor, free and bound, Jews and Gentiles, men and women, have sinned and come short of the glory of God. No one can claim to be a child of God in the fallen condition. Something must happen to you first! Until then, you're nothing but a dead man working! That is the point of this article, and it contains lessons and steps on how to become a bona fide child of God.
Christ came to the world for one purpose: to suffer and die in order to pay for the sins of the world. His work was completed and accepted by God. But that still does not make everybody saved. Everyone still needs to respond to His work in faith. "...whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16. Whether you will be saved or not depends on what you do with the work of Christ. Have you believed?
Salvation begins with hearing and believing the gospel. Without that, no one can get saved. This is why the preaching of the gospel is of the utmost importance. According to Romans 1:16, the gospel of Christ when it is believed, grants the believers the power to receive salvation. This is identical to the point of John 1:10-12. This article breaks down the message of the gospel into 4 points for easy comprehension and sharing.
The Bible says "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Young or old, rich or poor, slave or free, Jews or Gentiles, regardless of nationality, economic, or social status, everyone has sinned. You were born sinner on the day you were born. This is because everyone inherited sin from Adam and Eve. This is why forgiveness of sin is a necessity for all people. My goal with this lesson is to show you the right way to receive the forgiveness of sin.
