Are you ready for Christ? Are you prepared for the Rapture? Are you even saved and sure about it? Just hypothetically, if you were to die today, are you sure about where you will go and spend eternity? If you’re reading this post and you’re not saved, or you wonder at times whether you’re truly saved or not, I got news for you, you can be saved and also have the assurance of salvation today! All it takes is to believe the message of the gospel and trust in what Christ has done for you. Salvation is free to you, because Christ has paid the full price!
The Gospel
The Word of God says that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23. No one is exempted from this. And with sin comes the penalty, which is death. Not just physical or natural death, but also spiritual death, eternal separation from God. The final destination of all unsaved sinners is the lake of fire. This is the predicament from which we must be saved.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So, agree with the Bible that you’re a sinner who cannot save him/herself. Repent from your sins and believe that Christ died and paid for them, and that He was buried and He rose again from the dead. If you believe this with all your heart, your sins will be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of eternal life. This is the simple message of the gospel that you must believe.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
Faith in the gospel is what guarantees salvation. The gospel tells us what Christ has done for us and how we must respond to His completed works. The proper way to response today is to confess your sins to God, tell God you believe that Christ the Son of God died for your sins and rose from the dead. Ask Him to wash your sins with His blood and give you a new heart. Salvation is not about what you, myself, or anyone else can do to be saved. It is about believing in what has already been DONE for us. The way to salvation is Christ alone and none other:
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Do You Believe?
Will you henceforth trust in the blood of Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins? If so, I congratulate you. You’re now saved; you’re born again. You’re justified freely by the grace of God through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24)! But if you’re still procrastinating today, please be mindful of the fact that you can only believe and be saved while you’re still alive on earth. Once you’re dead, your time is up. Rejecting Jesus Christ is the worst sin you can commit. But you can accept Him today and be spared from the wrath of God.
Rejecting Jesus Christ is the worst sin you can commit.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
If you come to Jesus today, you will be rest assured that you will spend eternity with Him, and not in the lake of fire. For more on the gospel of salvation and how to be saved and know it, please check out the following links:
