Believe and Live
The purpose of this study is to share with you how to believe in Jesus Christ and what to believe.
John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Our sin was the reason why Christ came. Therefore our response to His work will determine whether we will be saved or condemned.
Verse 16 of John 3 begins by telling us about the love of God for us, “For God so loved the world”. He demonstrated that love by giving His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The word “gave” in the verse is more painful and wrathful than it sounds. God did not send Jesus to this world to party or have fun. He sent Him to suffer and die, for our sins.
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all…
But the whole world is not automatically saved because Christ has suffered and died for sins. Everyone still needs to respond to what He did. We are told in the verse: “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“
Believing is the requirement for salvation. But you must believe what the Bible commands not any other message. This is where many people stumble, they do not understand exactly what and how to believe. And that is why I want to use this video to address the problem of wrong belief as well as that of unbelief.
